Mobility

Mobility stands for the ability to move freely and easily cross borders to gain inspiration and stimulate innovative creative connections. Mobility page pictureIt is the life-blood of cultural cooperation. Artists and others in the cultural sector need to meet their international peers, exchange views, cooperate, influence and learn from each other.

With our mobility fund STEP beyond we stimulate and support cross-cultural creative projects. We want to motivate young artists and cultural practitioners to explore, experience, gain inspiration and stimulate innovative creative connections through:

Our geographical scope covers European countries -EU and non-EU-, including the countries of the South Caucasus (Georgia, Armenia and Azerbaijan) in partnership with the Arts and Culture Network Program of the Open Society Institute, Budapest.

NEW NEW NEW Jump in! A cultural work placement schemeJump in! People
This brand-new work placement scheme should see ethnic minorities better represented in cultural organisations across The Netherlands.

Together with our partners Network CS and Kunstenaars &CO we set up this practical tool for stimulating and facilitating intercultural dialogue.

Jump in! will give individuals and host organisations taking part a positive experience of cultural diversity, with host organisations providing in-kind support to individuals on placement.

The scheme, to be launched this month, April 2008, offers individuals the chance to develop professionally and enables organisations to create direct communication channels with artists and cultural entrepreneurs from diverse communities.
